Two DNS records, about five minutes. Once the domain shows Active, every link you create on it works instantly, SSL included.
Most clients use go. or link. on their main domain — e.g.
go.yourbrand.com. Don't use a subdomain that already serves a website.
app.1tap.at → Domains → type the subdomain → Connect domain. The dashboard shows the two records below with YOUR values — copy them from there (each TXT value is unique).
GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Route 53, Namecheap — the screen differs, the records don't:
| Type | Name / host | Value |
|---|---|---|
| CNAME | go (your subdomain) | 1tap.at |
| TXT | _cf-custom-hostname.go | the token from the dashboard |
If your DNS provider is Cloudflare: create the CNAME with the proxy toggled off (grey cloud).
Back in the dashboard, hit Verify. DNS + certificate issuance usually converge in a few minutes (worst case an hour, depending on your DNS provider). When the badge reads Active, you're live — create your first link.
_cf-custom-hostname. prefix, or the CNAME was created on the wrong subdomain.
